The HL-60 cell line is derived from human promyelocytic leukemia and can be differentiated into neutrophil-like cells upon incubation with DMSO [24]. HL-60 cells were kept in RPMI 1640 media (supplemented with 10% FCS) with 1.5% DMSO (Sigma Aldrich, St. Louis MO) for the indicated number of days.
