Catalase assay was performed in gill and liver samples. Briefly, the reagent mixture containing sodium phosphate buffer (pH 7.4, 0.1 M, 0.5 mM EDTA, 10 mM H2O2 and 0.2 ml sample). Reaction was performed at 37 °C and the sample was read at 240 nm (Lushchak and Bagnyukova, 2006).
