Susceptibility of each isolate to enrofloxacin was evaluated by measuring the MIC by the broth microdilution method performed in accordance with the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute’s recommendations17, and by the E-test® performed in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations (bioMérieux, Marcy-l'Étoile, France). An isolate with enrofloxacin MIC = 0.01 μg/mL, another with MIC = 1.5 μg/mL, and a third isolate with MIC = 2 μg/mL were included in the time-kill experiments.
