Cells (5 × 103) were seeded in 96-well culture plates in medium containing 10% serum, incubated overnight at 37 °C, and treated with test compounds. At the end of the treatment period, cell viability was determined using the WST-1 reagent (Roche) as described by the manufacturer. All experiments were performed at least in triplicate on three separate occasions. Data are presented as means ± SDs.
