Cell transfection with siRNA was performed with Lipofectamine RNAiMAX reagent (Invitrogen). CRL genes were screened using siRNAs from ON-TARGETplus SMART pool siRNA Library–Human Ubiquitin Conjugation Subset 1, complemented with ON-TARGETplus SMART pool siRNAs (Dharmacon) for RBX1 and SAG (RBX2). Controls were: AllStars Negative Control siRNA and AllStars Hs Cell Death siRNA Positive cell death phenotype control (Qiagen). The sequences of siERG (Eurogentec) were as described.50 siRNA sequences are listed in Supplementary Table S2.
