Sections of 4μm in thickness were mounted on slides. After dewaxing, rehydration, and antigen retrieval, the slides were then incubated with polyclonal rabbit IgG anti-Vimentin antibody (1:100, CST, USA). All sections were accessed and scored by two independent pathologists according to staining intensity and the percentage of positive tumor cells as previously described. High expression of Vimentin was defined as staining index ≥4 while low expression of Vimentin was defined as staining index <4.
