N,N-dimethylacrylamide (DMAAm, purity ≥ 99.0%), iron oxide (magnetite, Fe3O4) powders (50–100 nm) and N,N,N′,N′-tetramethylethylenediamine (TEMED, purity ≥ 99.0%) were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich, USA. Laponite XLG (Mg5.34Li0.66Si8O20(OH)4Na0.66) particles were provided by Rockwood Additives Ltd., Cheshire, UK. Ammonium persulfate (APS) was obtained from DEAJUNG, Korea. Deionized water was used as a solvent, and all reagents were used without further purification.
