2.8. 5‐aza‐2′‐deoxycytidine treatment

CRC cells were seeded in 6‐well plate at 1 × 10⁵ cells/well. After culture for 24 hours, 5‐aza‐2 deoxycytidine (5‐Aza‐dC) (Sigma‐Aldrich, Poole, UK) was added in fresh media at a final concentration of 1 μmol/L. Treatment was repeated every 24 hours for 3 consecutive days. After the third day of treatment, the cells were allowed to grow for another 24 hours before the cells were harvested for RNA, DNA, or protein extraction.
