The statistical analysis approach described by Audic and Claverie35 was performed to compare the difference in gene expression. The false discovery rate (FDR) was used to determine the threshold P-values in multiple testing and analysis35. A FDR <0.05 and absolute value of the log 2 (fold change) >1 were used as the threshold to determine the statistical significant difference in gene expression36. For GO enrichment analysis, the Bonferroni correction was performed, and the corrected P-value (<0.05) was used to determine the significant enrichment of the gene sets. For KEGG enrichment analysis, a FDR <0.05 was used as the threshold to judge the significant enrichment of the gene sets35. The Student t test was carried out to determine whether there was a significant difference between experimental variables. A P-value < 0.05 was considered statistically significant.
