Weigert’s resorcin-fuchsin stain was from Rowley Biochemical (Danvers, MA). Anti-α-smooth muscle actin (catalog no. MA1-12772) was from Thermo Scientific. Anti-myeloperoxidase; (catalog no. A0398) was from DAKO Agilent (Mississauga, Ontario, Canada). Anti-cluster of differentiation (CD) 68 (catalog no. MCA341R) was from Serotec (Raleigh, NC). Anti-nitrotyrosine (catalog no. 06–284) was from EMD Millipore (Billerica, MA).
