Flow cytometry analysis detection of podocytic apoptosis

According to the operation instructions of Annexin V-FITC/PI Apoptosis Detection Kit (Dojindo, Kumamoto, Japan), podocytes (5 × 105/ml) were collected and suspended with 200 μl of binding buffer, and then 10 μl of Annexin-v-FITC and 5 μl of PI were added for a 15 minute light cycle avoiding incubation at room temperature. Lastly, the cells were resuspended in 250 μl of binding buffer and analyzed using the guava easyCyteTM system (Millipore, Billerica, MA, USA). The experiment had three replicates.
