Vitronectin and fibronectin (Sigma-Aldrich) were diluted in PBS and used to coat the culture surface with a minimal volume at 0.3 μg/cm2 and 3 μg/cm2, respectively. Plates were allowed to air dry for 1 hour at room temperature. Excess vitronectin or fibronectin was removed by aspiration.
