Nitrite was analyzed with the OxiSelect Nitrite Assay Kit (Cell Biolabs, STA-802), and 200 mg frozen tissues were homogenized in cellular lysis buffer for 20 min, using a Cornless Polytron homogenizer, followed by centrifugation at 14,000 × g for 15 min at 4 °C. The supernatant was filtered through a 10-kDa MWCO ultrafilter to reduce protein interference and turbidity. Nitrite was examined according to the provided protocol.
