2.5. Formulation of PEC with Daunomycin, E51, and K55 in ZnCl2·2NH4Cl solution

One milligram per milliliter daunomycin was added to 1 mg/mL E₅₁ solution (E_51-dauno) in ddH₂O prior to PEC formation. ZnCl₂ was prepared as described above and used to dissolve K₅₅ (K_55-Zn). The E_51-dauno solution was then added dropwise to a stirred solution of K_55-Zn in tricine at a 1:1 molar charge ratio. The resulting PECs were stirred for an additional 10 min, diluted into 10 mg/mL Tricine, and then analyzed by DLS.
