K562 and U937 cells were treated with 10, 25–50 μM embelin for 24 h, cells were harvested and resuspended in hypotonic buffer. Mitochondrial and cytosolic fraction was isolated as described earlier [35]. Protein from cytosolic and mitochondrial fractions of each sample were analyzed by immunoblotting using an Anti-cytochrome c and tubulin antibody.
