In HTEC we used the Image-iT LIVE Green Reactive Oxygen Species Detection kit (Molecular probes, Eugene, OR, USA) according to the manufacturer’s recommendations and analyzed using a fluorescence microscope. In SKRC-52 cells, ROS was detected by incubating cells with 25mM carboxy-H2DFFDA (Life Technologies) at 37°C for 30 min before analyzing with Flow Cytometry and FACSDiva software (version 6.1.1; BD Biosciences).
