The proliferative capacity of cells was assessed using the cell counting kit-8 (CCK8) (Dojindo, Shanghai, China) according to the manufacturer's instructions as described previously [51]. Briefly, cells were seeded at a density of 3000-5000 cells/well in 96-well plates. After incubated with serum-free DMEM for 24 h, the cells were treated with indicated concentrations of gefitinib for 72h. Cells treated with solvent (DMSO) were used as a control, with viability set at 100%.
