Cells were either kept untreated or exposed to cisplatin for indicated time before analysis by flow cytometry. The detection was performed according to the manual of Alexa Fluor® 488 Annexin V/Dead Cell Apoptosis Kit (Invitrogen). About 1×106 cells were collected, washed with ice-cold PBS, and resuspended in binding buffer containing suitable amount of Annexin V-FITC. After 15 min of incubation in the dark at room temperature, the buffer was removed by centrifugation. The cells were then resuspended in reaction buffer containing propidium iodide (PI). Flow cytometry analysis was performed immediately to detect apoptosis.
