Pkd1CD;Cux1tm2Ejn mice.

This mouse line was generated by first breeding the heterozygous Pkd1^cond mice with the Cux1^tm2Ejn heterozygous mice. The F1 littermates from this cross, which were heterozygous for both the Pkd1^cond and Cux1^tm2Ejn genes, were crossed onto the Hoxb7/Cre mouse line. Another brother-sister cross was set up between the F1 generation of the latter cross to generate Pkd1^CD;Cux1^tm2Ejn+/− and Pkd1^CD;Cux1^{tm2Ejn−/−} mice, and Pkd1^CD;Cux1^tm2Ejn+/+ mice to be used as controls.
