2.5. Apoptosis Analysis Using Hoechst 33258 Staining

The apoptosis of chondrocytes cultured in different conditions was analyzed by Hoechst 33258 staining. After being cultured for 5 days the cartilage cells were washed twice with PBS and incubated with 1 μg/mL Hoechst 33258 for 5 min at room temperature. Cellular and nuclear morphology was examined using phase and fluorescence microcopy.
