Female C57BL/6 mice were infected by intravenous injection of 1 × 104 sporozoites and parasite load in each mouse liver was determined 15 hrs post infection by real time PCR58. The primers used for amplification of P. berghei 18SrRNA were Pb18SrRNA-F and Pb18SrRNA-R.
