Calculation of molar concentration of DNA

The length of Tth genome and pOR2OR1-sfGFP are 1 894 877 bp and 3610 bp, respectively. To calculate molar concentrations, molecular masses were calculated from the length of DNA (1.9 Mbp for Tth genome and 3.6 kb for pOR2OR1-sfGFP) and by counting 1 bp = 660 Da. DNA concentrations (weight per volume) were determined by OD260.
