The primary aim of the TeaM (Therapeutic Mammaplasty) Study is to evaluate the current practice and outcomes of therapeutic mammaplasty in the UK.

This will be achieved using the following specific objectives:

To determine the number of breast and plastic surgical units offering TM across the UK and the volumes of procedures performed.

To describe the current practice of TM including the indications and techniques used.

To evaluate the 30 day clinical outcomes of TM and explore predictors for adverse outcomes.

To determine the impact of TM on the time to delivery of adjuvant therapy.

To establish a network of units performing TM for future research studies.

To inform the feasibility, design and conduct of a future definitive large-scale study including patient-reported and long-term oncological outcomes of TM procedures.
