RNA was isolated from sorted or cultured cells by Trizol (Invitrogen) or the RNAeasy mini kit (Qiagen) and was reverse-transcribed with Superscript III (Invitrogen). Quantitative RT-PCR was performed in an iCycler (Bio Rad Laboratories) with SYBR green (Bio Rad Laboratories). Expression values were normalized to Hprt and were calculated by the ΔCT method. Primer sequences are available on request.
