The monoclonal antibody against human actin was acquired from Biodesign Inc (Kennebunk, Maine). The monoclonal antibodies against HCMV UL44, IE1, IE2, gB, and UL99 proteins were procured from Virusys (Taneytown, MD) [16,34]. Growth of human foreskin fibroblasts (HFFs) and U251 cells (American Type Culture Collection (ATCC), Manassas, VA) were supported in Dulbecco’s modified Eagle medium (DMEM) containing 10% fetal bovine serum and HCMV (TowneBAC) was proliferated in HFFs and U251 cells as described previously [33,35].
