The ChIP experiments were performed using an EZ ChIP™ Chromatin Immunoprecipitation Kit for cell line samples (Millipore, USA) according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Briefly, the crosslinked chromatin DNA were sonicated into 200 to 1000 bp fragments followed by the fixed with 1% formaldehyde. Then immunoprecipitation using an anti-H3K27me3 (Millipore, USA) antibody, Histone H3 (Abcam, USA) and normal mouse IgG used as the negative control. The primers used for the amplification of p27 and Foxc1 promoter DNA fragments are listed in Supplementary Table 1.
