Mice were anesthetized with isoflurane and perfused transcardially with 20ml of PBS followed by 20ml of 4% paraformaldehyde. The spinal cord and brain were immediately removed and placed in 4% paraformaldehyde for 24–48 hours at 4°C prior to paraffin processing.
