Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC)

Samples for DSC were prepared from multilamellar liposomes (MLV) of phosphatidylcholine (DPPC) according to the procedure described previously (Pruchnik et al. 2014). MLVs prepared from pure lecithin (control sample) and lecithin with cis-DTCEP were placed in Mettler Toledo standard aluminum crucibles of 40 μl capacity. Tightly closed vessels were incubated for two days at 4 °C. The measurements were performed with Mettler Toledo Thermal Analysis System D.S.C. 821^e, operated at the heating rate of 2 °C/min from 20 to 60 °C. Thermal cycles were repeated three times. The data were analyzed using original software provided by Mettler Toledo.
