Live PR8 IAV was purchased from Charles River Laboratories and stored in one-use aliquots at −80°C. Just prior to infection, PR8 was thawed and diluted in PBS. Mice were anesthetized with Isoflurane (Patterson Veterinary) and infected with PR8 IAV in 25μL in the nostrils. Mice were weighed and monitored for signs and symptoms of disease for the duration of the study.
