For the therapeutic intervention experiment, the WT mice were injected with 75mg/kg of DEN at week three of age and were fed on HFD throughout the experimental duration. At week 16, the mice were divided into two categories: Negative Control (NC) and miR-21 mimic. Lipid nanoparticles encapsulating either the NC or miR-21 mimic were injected via the intravenous tail vein in each mouse twice weekly, totaling 1.8 mg/kg of mimic per week. The injections were performed for six weeks, and at the end of week 22, all mice were euthanized to collect livers.
