The relative gene expression levels were quantified using the 2−ΔCt or 2−ΔΔCt method. For the quantification of fungal genes, GPD was used as the endogenous control. For the quantification of locust genes, rp-49 was used as the endogenous control. At least five biological replicates were assayed for statistical analysis. The qPCR primers are listed in Table S4.
