yeast strains with Om45,Tom70, Vph1, Pma1, Sec63, Pab1, Dcp2 and Hsp104 GFP tagged were received from Dirk Landgraf (Landgraf et al., 2016). For the co-localization experiments yeast cells harboring the mCherry tagged VMA1 were mated to the GFP reporter cells. The resulting diploid cells were analyzed for colocalization. All images were acquired with a Nikon Plan Apo 100x oil objective (NA1.4) using a Nikon Eclipse Ti-E inverted microscope and a CCD camera (Andor technology). Images were analyzed using ImageJ software.
