MST

To measure MST, we used a brief screening instrument utilized by the VA (Kimerling, Gima, Smith, Street, & Frayne, 2007). Specifically, participants provided responses to the following questions related to their time in the military: “Did you ever experience any unwanted sexual attention, like verbal remarks, touching, or pressure for sexual favors?” (harassment MST); “Did anyone ever use force or the threat of force to have sex with you against your will?” (assault MST).
