AML12 or HUH7 cells were seeded in 96-well plates at a density of 8 × 103 cells per well and incubated overnight. HDAC inhibition was measured with increasing concentrations of sodium butyrate (Cat# 303410; Sigma-Aldrich) with HDAC-Glo I/II Assay (Promega, Madison, WI) according to manufacturer’s protocol in serum free media. A total of 50 nM trichostatin A was used as a positive HDAC inhibitor control.
