Mice

C57BL/6 mice and mdx mice as well as NOD/Scid mice were purchased from Jackson Laboratory (Bar Harbor, ME, USA). The OT-1 mouse is transgenic for a T cell receptor (TCR) that recognizes the ovalbumin (OVA) SIINFEKL peptide bound by H-2K^b (Taconic Farms, Germantown, NY). All mice were maintained in a specific pathogen-free facility at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The University of North Carolina Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee approved all procedures.
