2.3. Data collection

A purposeful sampling strategy was employed to facilitate contextual representation ¹⁷ as well as maximise the depth and richness of the data collected. ¹⁸ HCPs with different levels of experience were invited to participate, ranging from junior doctors to consultants. The inclusion of a diverse participant group allowed this research to be explored through many different “lenses.” ¹⁹ Semi‐structured interviews of between 30 and 45 min duration were conducted and audio‐recorded by the lead author. An interview topic guide developed for the project was iteratively adjusted in tandem with ongoing analysis. ²⁰
