The rat heart myoblast cells H9c2 were purchased from Procell Life Science&Technology Co., Ltd (Wuhan, China). All cells were cultured in Dulbecco’s modified Eagle’s medium (DMEM, Gibco, Carlsbad, USA) containing 4.5 g/L glucose supplemented with fetal bovine serum (FBS) and placed in a 37 °C incubator containing 5% CO2. To mimic cardiac hypoxia injury in vitro, H9c2 cells were cultured in hypoxic incubator with the atmosphere of 1% O2 and 99% CO2.
