Induction of GC in mice was performed as described previously [23]. Five-week-old male IL-17A KO and wild-type (WT) mice with a C57BL/6 background were randomly divided into four groups (Supplementary Fig. 1). Animals in groups 1 and 2 were administered N-methyl-N-nitrosourea (MNU; 150 ppm) every other week for 10 weeks. One week after completion of MNU treatment, mice were inoculated with H. pylori three times every other day. Groups 3 and 4 were fed a standard pellet chow diet. Mice were sacrificed 38 weeks after infection, making a total of 50 weeks of treatment (Supplementary Fig. 1).
