The following inhibitors were used: β-secretase inhibitor II (BSI, Calbiochem, 1 μM), GM6001 (Calbiochem, 5 μM), TAPI-1 (Calbiochem, 1 μM), DAPT (Calbiochem, 1 μM), BI2536 (Axon MedChem, 50 nM), APV (Tocris Bioscience, 50 μM), CNQX (Tocris Bioscience, 40 μM) or phosphatase inhibitor I and II (Sigma). PTX was freshly prepared as a 10 mM stock in 0.1 M NaOH and used at 25 μM final concentration.
