FA2CdI4 crystals were grown through slow evaporation of their stoichiometric (2:1 molar ratio of FAI to CdI2) solutions. The initial precursors were kept at 1 M with FA2CdI4 methanol solutions. Single crystals of FA2CdCl4 with about 5 mm in size were grown at room temperature in a quiet environment.
