The broad-sense heritability (H2) for each trait was estimated according to Singh et al. (1993) [35] using the following formula.

where Vg is the genetic variance and Vp is phenotypic variance.

The phenotypic variance (Vp) and the genotypic variance (Vg) were found by the following formulas:
