Tumors were measured in cubic millimeters using calipers by the same operator along their long axis (L) and short axis (S) one day prior to treatment initiation for their starting volumes, then 2–3 times per week post-treatment. Tumor volume was calculated using the equation L × S2/2. Post-treatment tumor volumes were normalized to the starting tumor volume for each animal.
