The FRAP assay was performed as previously described [24]. FRAP reagent was freshly prepared by mixing together 10 mM 2,4,6-tripyridyl-s-triazine (TPTZ) and 20 mM ferric chloride in 0.25 M acetate buffer, pH 3.6. dandelion sample (100 µL) was added to 300 µL of water followed by 3 mL of FRAP reagent at 1 min intervals. The absorbance was read at 593 nm after 4 min incubation at ambient temperature against distilled water. A calibration curve of ferrous sulfate (100–1000 µmol/L) was used, and results were expressed in µmol Fe (II)/g dandelion and in mmo1/L for reference standards from three determinations.
