The miRNAs whose most of the genes interacted at a 0.95 confidence level were further analyzed for their functional analysis. The functional enrichment of miRNAs was done using Metascape (Zhou et al., 2019). Metascape is a web-based portal that combines functional enrichment, gene annotation, and interactome analysis from 40 independent knowledge bases. It uses hypergeometric test and Benjamini-Hochberg p-value correction algorithm for the functional enrichment analysis of the targeted genes.
