2% DSS (40 kDa; TdB Consultancy AB, Sweden) was administered in autoclaved water to 2.5-mo-old male BALB/c mice for 8 days. Upon completion of the DSS treatment, the mice were killed by CO2 inhalation and colon total lysate samples were collected.
