Blood samples were obtained from normal healthy adult donors (age and sex not recorded for ethical reasons), healthy pediatric donors (undergoing elective surgical procedures, n=9) and treatment-naïve, newly diagnosed neuroblastoma patients (n=6). Sex, average age and age ranges are in Table 1 . Blood was collected in EDTA coated tubes. The Trinity College Faculty of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths Research Ethics Committee provided ethics for analysis of healthy adult donor blood. All healthy adult donors for this study provided written consent. The ethics committee of Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin (formerly Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital) approved the study on healthy pediatric donors and neuroblastoma patients, and parents/guardians provided written consent.
