Swimming Motility Assay

The swimming motility of R. solanacearum was assessed on semi-solid motility media as previously reported (Kelman and Hruschka, 1973). Different concentrations of UM and DMSO were added to the semi-solid motility medium, and a 3-μL overnight-cultured R. solanacearum suspension was dropped on the center of the plate. White halos were measured after 48 h cultivation at 30 ± 1°C, and motility was measured as the halo diameter. All assays were carried out in triplicate.
