Cellulose fibers (dissolving pulp produced from hardwood) and wet strength agent (polyamide epichlorohydrin, PAE) were obtained from a factory, China. Ferric chloride hexahydrate (FeCl3∙6H2O) and trisodium citrate dihydrate were purchased from Sinopharm Chemical Reagents Co., Ltd. Ferrous chloride tetrahydrate (FeCl2∙4H2O) was purchased from Tianjin Danao Chemical Reagent Factory. Ammonia (NH3∙3H2O) was purchased from Kunshan Jincheng Reagent Co., Ltd. All chemicals were of analytical grade and used without further purification.
