Survey design and sample

This was a 2.5-year follow-up study of a cross-sectional survey on treatment burden in 835 older adults (aged ≥55 years) with multimorbidity in Dorset, England.¹⁷ The follow-up survey was planned before the COVID-19 pandemic and implementation of integrated care systems in Dorset. The follow-up postal survey, conducted between August and December 2021, was sent to people who had participated in the baseline survey and consented (at baseline) to receiving a follow-up survey. Inclusion and exclusion criteria for the baseline survey are presented in Box 1.
