BALB/c nude mice (4-week-old, weighing 18-25 g) were from the Shanghai Laboratory Animal Center (Shanghai, China). All mice were raised in a sterile environment. SW620 cells were collected and counted, and 2 × 106 cells/mL were injected into the right hind leg of the mice. The length and width of the tumors were monitored, and the tumor volume (formula: length × width2/2) was determined at 7, 14, 21, and 28 days. During this period, miR-22 was intravenously injected into the mice. After 28 days, the xenograft tumors in each group were obtained for subsequent analysis. This animal experiment was strictly conducted according to the Institutional Animal Protection and Use Committee.
